My passion lies with helping others reach their fitness goals through gradual lifestyle changes. My attributes of persistence and patience are what I believe help me motivate others to be successful. I have a BA in Sociology from Cal State LA. I hold Personal Training certificates through NCCPT and ACE. I have spent three years as a Medical Assistant and one year as a Physical Therapy Aid and hold certifications for both positions. When Iā€™m not training at the studio I love cycling up the coast, running on Fiscalini Ranch, backpacking, tending my garden or spending time with my grandkids.

Gentle Yoga

I teach Vinyasa Flow yoga in a gentle mellow style tailoring my classes to my students abilities and needs. I developed a regular practice in 2005 recognizing the physical and mental benefits of yoga. Three years later I began my teaching journey. I also have a skin care business True Skin that keeps my busy as well. Having been raised in San Luis Obispo County my whole life, Cambria just really fits me and my love for small town life.

My objective is to help integrate the movements in class into your daily life through gentle movements and breathing. I am a certified practitioner of the Feldenkrais Method and hold a MFA in dance from New York University. I taught dance for 15 years at Cal State Fresno before becoming a Feldenkrais Practitioner. I'm foremost a teacher and enjoy working with diverse groups including the elderly, infants, those who have learning disabilities or who've had brain trauma injuries.

Like many teachers, I started yoga for the fitness benefits. That was more than 25 years ago. My back round is in the practices of Iyengar, Kundalini, Raja and Ashtanga. My training was completed at the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara and includes the study of Chinese Internal Exercises of Taoism as well as a degree in International Relations from the University of Wisconsin. I have been teaching yoga in Cambria since 2008. Big Sur had been a favorite camping spot so when my husband and I thought about making the move it was an easy decision. I love nature ā€” the Monterey pines and the oaks, the birds, the ocean ā€” and love to be outside on a trail just about every day!

I am a Certified personal trainer and teach group fitness classes that provide a whole-body workout. With foundations in Strength Training, Pilates and engaging in light cardio, I enjoy contributing to the client's improvement of balance, strength, posture, health and attitude. This has been a rewarding field to participate in, as I watch clients grow stronger, gain confidence and engage in healthier lifestyles.

Terri is an ACE certified Master Trainer and Yoga Alliance E-RYT200 yoga instructor. Her approach to teaching fitness has been described as nurturing and balanced. Terri is passionate about helping her clients set and achieve their goals. She worked as a physical therapy aid for 10 years primarily with clients who have pre and post op recovery issues.
Terri lives on the Central Coast with her daughter Anna. Her passions include family, fitness, great food and the joy of healthy living.
